Out & About

If you can drag yourselves away from the hut then the welcome pack has lots of local information on places to eat and activities.  We send this out a couple of weeks before your arrival date.

A useful quote to remember, from Alfred Wainwright~

There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing!

Bude is in North Cornwall, a quiet seaside town renowned for its rugged coastline, idyllic beaches and amazing sunsets. This is the perfect location for ramblers, surfers, lovers and loafers! Here is the place to make the most of enjoying the outdoors, but Bude is also sprinkled with wonderful places to eat and if a spot of retail therapy is your thing, there are lots of interesting independent shops.

Facing the Atlantic Ocean, you will find surfers of all abilities flocking to our beaches, walkers enjoying the challenges of several coastal path walks or, a gentler amble along the Bude Canal towpath. Equally popular is to take in local sites using pedal power – bring your own cycles or hire them here in Bude. The 126-year old seaside links golf course, found on the edge of the town, is open and playable all year round. Golfers of all abilities will enjoy the challenges of playing here. If you are a keen angler, Bude and its surrounding area offers sea fishing trips, plus coarse and trout fishing.
